The free games for Xbox Live Gold have been announced for May 2019.
Starting on May 1, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to get Marooners for free on their Xbox Ones. Marooners is a Mario Party-esque party game, where players compete with one and another to win in a series of mini-games. The game stars small cartoon characters, marooned on a remote island. You can play up to six players. Marooners will be available for free up till May 31.
Starting on May 16, The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour will be made free for Gold members. A realistic golfing game, Golf Club 2019 centers on players competing in different championships, and working their way up to gain the Fed Ex Cup. The game will be made available from May 16 to June 15.
Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon will be available for Gold Members on the original Xbox 360 and the Xbox One via Backward Compatibility. The game is a third person shooter, where you fight against giant insects and destroy buildings. It will be made available for free starting May 1 and will remain for free until May 15.
Finally, Comic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smiley will also be free for Gold Members on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Comic Jumper stars a fictitious comic book character name Captain Smiley, who jumps into other comics to find a way to save his dwindling comic book. It is an action-adventure game, with references to many superhero genres. The game will be free starting May 16 and will remain free until May 31.
