Pokémon GO – A Thousand Year Slumber Jirachi Research Tasks and Rewards

Jirachi, a new Mythical Pokémon, is now available in Pokémon GO if you complete the Thousand Year Slumber research tasks.

It’s a big day for Pokémon Trainers, as you can finally get your hands on Jirachi, a new Mythical Pokémon. To do so, you will need to complete all the research tasks in the Thousand Year Slumber quest. Below, you will find all the tasks that you will need to complete, so ensure you have all the items you will need before you set out on this challenge.

Pokémon GO – A Thousand Year Slumber Jirachi Research Tasks

Stage 1 Tasks:

  • Catch 25 Pokemon (1000 XP)
  • Spin 10 Pokestops or Gyms (Jigglypuff Encounter)
  • Make 3 new friends (Feebas Encounter)

Stage Rewards: Moss Lure, Glacial Lure, Magnetic Lure.

Stage 2 Tasks:

  • Catch 3 Whismur – 10 Whismur Candy
  • Evolve a Feebas – 1500 XP Catch
  • 90 Pokémon in Hoenn Pokédex – 1500 XP

Stage Rewards: 2000 Stardust, 10 Poké Balls, 3 Incense

Stage 3 Tasks:

  • Take a snapshot of Loudred – Snorlax encounter
  • Make 3 Great Throws in a row – 2000 XP
  • Earn 3 Candies walking with your buddy – 2000 XP

Stage Rewards: 20 Silver Pinap Berries, 3 Star Piece, 2000 Stardust

Stage 4 Tasks

  • Catch 50 Psychic- or Steel-type Pokémon – 2500 XP
  • Power up Pokémon 10 times – 2500 XP
  • Send 10 Gifts to friends – 2500 XP

Stage Rewards: 1 Charged TM, 1 Premium Raid Pass, 1 Fast TM

Stage 5 Tasks

  • Battle a team leader 3 times – Kricketune Encounter
  • Win against another trainer 7 times – 3000 XP
  • Win 5 raids – 3000 XP

Stage Rewards: 3 Rare Candy, 20 Ultra Balls, 3000 Stardust

Stage 6 Tasks

  • Take 5 snapshots of Steel- or Psychic-type Pokémon – Chimecho encounter
  • Make 3 Excellent Curveball Throws – Bronzong encounter
  • Spin a Poké Stop 7 days in a row – 4000 XP

Stage Rewards: 10 Silver Pinap Berries, 10 Star Pieces, 5000 Stardust

Once you complete all the research tasks, Jirachi will appear, and you will be able to try to catch it as many times as you like. You will need to do with AR mode on, so make sure you have plenty of Pokeballs.
