Screenshots are a great way to share your love and enjoyment of a game, and to convince your mates to get off the fence and into the new expansion.

Monster Hunter World Iceborne: How to Use View Mode & Take Screenshots

Before you head out into the world and start snapping screenshots, there is one essential thing you should know. Time won’t stop for View Mode. While some games, generally single-player experiences, can freeze time for you, because Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is an online multiplayer game, this isn’t a feature in View Mode.

As such, if you plan on using it to take screenshots during combat, you will need to be quick. To use View Mode, follow the below steps:

  • Open the game’s Menu
  • Navigate to the Systems tab
  • Select View Mode
  • Position your camera to get the shot you want
  • Use your platforms screenshot function to get the chance

On PC, you will be using either Print Screen or the additional features of Steam or your GPU software to get the shot. You might even use a third-party program like PlayClaw. On PS4, just hit the share button, while on Xbox you need to double-tap the home button and then press the Y button.

And that’s it. Your screenshots will get saved to your consoles galleries or your PC drives in whichever file you usually keep them. And remember, while time might not stop in View Mode, that perfect screen is worth the risk of taking a hit to your health bar.
