Where to Find Ferroseed in Pokémon Sword and Shield

Here are a handful of locations you might encounter a Ferroseed in Pokémon Sword and Shield

Catching every Pokémon in the Galar region takes time, but narrowing the list and locating some of the harder to find ones in Pokémon Sword and Shield should be the ideal way. There’s a decent Pokémon called Ferroseed you capture in multiple locations. It’s as Grass and Steel-type Pokémon that you can later evolve into a Ferrothorn at level 40.

You can find Ferroseed in these locations:

  • Motostoke Riverbank during a Sandstorm with a 10 percent chance
  • Stony Wilderness during a Snowstorm with a five percent chance
  • Bridge Field during Normal, Overcast, Raining, Thunderstorm, Intense Sun, Snow and Hail, Snowstorm, Sandstorm, and Heavy Fog with a five percent chance
  • Route 4 during all weather conditions with a one percent chance

You want to check out Motostoke Riverbank during a sandstorm to have the best chance of capturing this elusive Pokémon. You need to use a Fighting or Fire-type Pokémon to do a decent amount of damage against it. A majority of the Ferroseed Pokémon you encounter will range from level 26 to 28, but if you find one on Route 4, it’s much lower, between levels 13 to 15.

You have the opportunity to encounter it in a Max Raid in the Wild Area, but there’s a slim chance of this happening. You’re better off checking out the other three locations during those particular weather periods to get the most chances at capturing an ideal Ferroseed. If you do encounter it in a Max Level raid, it’s level range from 25 to 30.

Keeping this Pokémon in your roster is ideal, especially if you get it early on Route 4. You have the choice to evolve it at level 40 into a Ferrothorn, and it remains a Grass and Steel-type Pokémon. You won’t need anything special to change it.
