TMs are incredibly useful in Pokémon Sword and Shield, and allow you to teach specific moves to any Pokémon that can learn them. TMs are scattered all over the game, and can be found in stores, or are out in the world. TMs out in the game world appear as yellow Poké Balls, so be sure to pick them up when you see them.

When you get a TM, add the Pokémon you want to learn the move to your party, then go to your Bag and find the TM. Any Pokémon that can learn the move has the blue “Compatible” on their name before you give it to them.
