Want to make your weapons look really cool? Here’s how!
Camos are back and in full stride in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Players will have a number available for each weapon, with ten in all across the board. However, if you take a look at the total count of camos available, it comes to 103.
That means there are three unique types of camos available — Gold, Platinum, and Damascus. These are the most elite Camos out there, which means they won’t come easy. With our helpful guide, you’ll be able to unlock them and show off the beauty of your weapons.
A Basic Intro To Camos
First off, you’ll need to rank up with a particular weapon. This task is simple — stick with it through multiplayer and watch the XP stack. As it does, you’ll work your way through the ten general camo types per weapon. These include Tiger, Topo, Splinter, Urban, Digital, Woodland, Spray Paint, Stripes, Reptile, and Skulls.
These are already cool enough to skin your weapon with, especially Skulls and Reptile. But if you want to go all out and use Gold, Platinum, and Damascus here’s how to get them.
Unlocking the Gold Camo
To attain the Gold Camo for your weapon of choice, you’ll need to earn all of the other Camos available for it. There are ten in all, for each one. When you’ve gotten to that point and gained a little XP, the Gold one should be the next to unlock.
Unlocking the Platinum Camo
Getting access to Platinum is a little bit trickier. You won’t be able to access this class of Camo until you’ve unlocked Gold for that particular class of weapons. That means you’ll need to rank up across the board for every Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, and so on. Once you do that, and you’ve got Gold across the board, Platinum will become available.
Unlocking the Damascus Camo
Surprisingly, there is a level above Platinum — and that’s Damascus. They describe it as being an “oil-type” skin that makes each one look incredible.
But there’s a catch. Like what you did with Gold, you’ll need to level up every weapon within its class to unlock this Camo type. That means getting Platinum for all Shotguns, Assault Rifles, and other weapons. Once you do that, Damascus will be on hand, and you can switch things up.
This portion will probably take some time. Yes, you’ll earn XP quickly throughout multiplayer matches, but mastering each weapon long enough to get the three Camo types will require a little bit of patience. Just keep with it, and soon these sweet skins will be yours!
