How to download Pokémon Home on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch

Download Pokémon HOME to your Nintendo Switch or mobile device

Pokémon Home is ideal application for any fan of Pokémon who wants to keep their collection all in one digital space. It connects to the Pokémon Bank, Pokémon Go, Let’s Go Eevee or Let’s Go Pikachu, and Pokémon Sword and Shield. When you have the application, you trade any of your Pokémon with strangers or with friends. You can even earn mystery boxes, use a new feature called the wonder box, and create labels for your Pokémon boxes.

To download the application you have several options. The first is having it on your Nintendo Switch. To download it, all you have to do is connect to the internet, open the Nintendo eShop, choose the Nintendo account you want to use, and then type in Pokémon Home into the search bar. You should find it fairly quickly. It’s a free download, so click on it to have it start downloading. You do need to have 707MB available on your Switch’s memory slot.

You can also download Pokémon Home for your mobile device. It works on both iOS and Android smartphones. You can download it from a web browser if you have your account connected to the respective store page. For example, if your Android mobile account connects to Google Play, you can visit the Pokémon Home application in your web browser and start downloading it to your phone. It should automatically go through, and your device should have it ready to go in a view minutes. If you have multiple devices connected to your profile, you need to make sure you click on the correct device you want to use it.

While the mobile application is free, there is a subscription service that gives you access to a handful of premium features. You have three options to pick from.

  • One month: $2.99
  • Three months: $4.99
  • 12 months: $15.99

You do not need to purchase the premium subscription to access the application and transfer your Pokémon. However, you do need the premium subscription to start a trade with a random trainer or friend, hold over 6,000 Pokémon on the service, have the application judge the quality of your Pokémon, and to transfer Pokémon from the Pokémon Bank to Pokémon Home.
