How to Evolve Linoone to Get Obstagoon in Pokémon Sword and Shield

Here’s how you’re going to evolve Linoone into Obstagoon, and you have the chance to capture an Obstagoon in Pokémon Sword and Shield

Pokémon Sword and Shield have a new evolution for Zigzagoon, giving the second generation Pokémon a third form called Obstagoon. It’s standing on its hind legs and has its arms crossed in front of its body. It craves fighting, and it’s a Dark and Normal-type Pokémon.

There are two methods of acquiring Obstagoon in the game. The first and most straightforward method is to catch a Zigzagoon or a Linoone. You can catch either of them all over the map, notably in the Wild Area. If you get a Zigzagoon, you need to work your way up to level 20 to evolve it into a Linoone.

After you have the Linoone, you need to raise its level to 35. At level 35, you need to have the Linoone level up when it’s night time. It only works during night time, so if you’re trying to get an Obstagoon, make sure it happens at night or else it’s not going to work.

The other alternative to acquiring an Obstagoon is to find them in the Lake of Outrage in the Wild Area. You won’t be able to reach this location until you gain the ability to cross water with your Rotom Bicycle, which is going to happen when you reach Route 9. You get this upgrade from a Scientist who is being harassed by a pair of Team Yell grunts. Handle the grunts, and the Scientist will show his thanks by upgrading your bicycle.

You’re likely going to have the chance to level up your Linoone to 35 well before you reach Route 9, so evolving it at night is the quickest method.
