One of the earliest tasks you will be given in Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy is to make some Demolition Bombs. You will need to do it for Mr. Abelheim, who will be willing to overlook your rent if you can help him source some explosives.
You will automatically learn the recipe for Demolition Bombs as part of this quest, so you don’t need to worry about. You will, however, need to learn the recipe for Bombs, which are a component of the Demolition Bombs recipe.
How to learn to make Bombs
Open your main menu, then open the Skill Tree. Right beside the Explosive Uni recipe that you have already learned, you will find the Bomb recipe. This will cost you 150 SP to learn, so spend the points to get the recipe.
To make a Bomb, you will need the following ingredients:
- Crimson Ore
- Gunpowder
- Sand
Go to the cauldron in your atelier and interact with it. This will bring up the Synthesis screen, which is how you engage with the Alchemy portion of the game. Click on the open nodes and start adding the ingredients. You should have everything you need from your earlier explorations in the game. You will need to pick what exact ingredients you wish to use based on their quality, traits, and effects, but for this particular quest, it doesn’t matter. All we need is for the Demolition Bomb that we make to be above 30 Quality.
If you wish, you can hold R1, then select the quality level you wish the item to be and the game will automatically place items in the slots for you. If you only interest is in good Quality items without worrying about specific traits, this is a great option.
When you have made the bomb, do the same with the Demolition Bomb and you can now return to Mr. Abelheim and continue the story.
