This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information

The Murder on Eridanos DLC for The Outer Worlds introduces some new adventuring to Obsidian’s slick 50s sci-fi-inspired RPG, bringing a whole new murder mystery for you to solve. You will need to have hit a certain point in the campaign to access it, so in this article, we will swiftly run through what to do. It goes without saying you will also need to have purchased and installed the new DLC.

You will need to have gotten past Monarch, and completed the Radio Free Monarch main quest. After that, you can return to the ship where ADA will have a new option allowing you to watch an aetherwave drama. This will start the DLC, and the recommended level is 30.

You can choose to jump straight in, or finish up other quests and sidequests before you decide to make your way to the destination shared in the message.

If you are just starting the game, or wish to begin a new playthrough to experience the new content on a new character, then you will need to play all the way up to finishing the Radio Free Monarch mission, but there are no other requirements. You can finish the mission in whatever way you wish, and then move onto the new DLC content when the space courier shows up at your ship.

If you are having any issue getting the DLC to trigger, even if you are past the Radio Free Monarch mission, then verify the installation of the game to ensure everything is where it should be and this should hopefully solve the problem for you.
