Loads of new features, updates, and fixes have been added to Call of Duty Modern Warfare with the newly updated patch 1.28. Though Infinity Ward shared a lot of information about the incoming features, such as the ability to uninstall parts of the game on PC, they failed to mention they were secretly adding a new weapon to the game.
The AA-12 (JAK-12) shotgun is one you might remember from Modern Warfare 2 all those years ago. A fully-automatic shotgun, it was known as the camper’s weapon of choice. Now it can be unlocked through completing a challenge in the most recent Call of Duty title.
The challenge is a familiar one to those who’ve completed the challenges for the Grau, Bruen, or FiNN unlockable weapons previously. Each one is always complete an action X number of times in Y number of games. This one is no different. To unlock the AA-12 shotgun, you must complete the following:
- Using a shotgun, get three hip-fire kills in seven different matches
At the conclusion of your third hip-fire kill, you are able to leave the match and the kills will count toward your total. If you’re trying to unlock the new gun as quickly as possible, simply pop into a multiplayer match, get three hip-fire kills with a shotgun, and leave. Each game will count as one towards the challenge, and at the conclusion of your seventh game you’ll be able to equip the new AA-12 shotgun.
