The September and October Community Day featured poll where players had the chance to pick who they’d like to see as the lucky choices in Pokémon Go fans. Players had the chance to pick from four choices: Caterpie, Charmander, Grimer, and Porygon. While the winner had the September spot, the runner up would be featured in October 2020.
The runner up who received the October Community Day vote is Charmander. Not only will you be able to catch a lot of them, but it receives an increased chance to be shiny, and will have an exclusive move it can if you fully evolve it.
When is the October Community Day in Pokémon Go?
Charmander’s October Community Day will take place on October 17, from 11 AM to 5 PM in your timezone. It gives you plenty of time to catch as many Charmanders as you can, find the one with the best stats, and even ensure the best version is shiny, and evolve it.
Charmanders’s evolved form, Charizard, will have access to a powerful Dragon-type attack called dragon breath. It makes Charizard a standout selection for the PvP Ultra League, so you really don’t want to miss out on your chance to use it in your roster. For your Charizard to learn dragon breath, you must evolve it during the event, and you have until two hours after it to do so. If you don’t, you can only teach it to them using an Elite TM, which you can received by reaching rank 7 I’m the battle league.
Make sure you jump into the game to participate in the Community Day. The event also comes with an exclusive Community Day research quest that you can join in using real-world money.
