If you are trying to log on to the PlayStation Network and get error code np-35000-8, you might be a little annoyed that you can’t log on to play your favorite games. This error code will populate when the PSN is undergoing maintenance.
Sony advises that the best course of action is to simply wait for the maintenance period to end and check the Network Service Status page to make sure the PSN is down.
Frankly, there can be instances of network instability that will not cause the service status page to update, and this only seems to occur when the issues are brief, or only affecting a small number of people. Sony will normally have these issues resolved quickly, and you generally expect to be able to get back to gaming quickly.
These problems can be caused by numerous issues and could be occurring either with Sony themselves or with your ISP due to exceptionally heavy traffic. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that you can do from your end other than the traditional fixes of powering your console off and on and resetting your router to see if it will resolve the issue.
If you continue to have connection issues, we would advise you to visit the PlayStation Fix & Connect portion of the PlayStation Support website.
