Here’s how you can turn off all of the cutscenes in the game in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

After completing Pokémon Sword and Shield for the first time, you have the choice not to see any of the cutscenes in the game. If you want to do it, though, you need to be sure you want not to see any of the cutscenes moving forward. This option is best for those who have already gone through the game and want to start over.

To find it, go into your main menu by hitting the “X” button on your switch. You should see several choices on this menu, and you want to go to the “Options” submenu, which is the bottom right choice.

Click it, and you’re going to see a vast list of choices to go through. The one you’re looking for is at the bottom of the list. It’s called “Skip Movies,” and you can easily reach it by clicking up with the thumbstick, taking you to the bottom of the list. Turn this option to “On.”

The game is going to double-check you want to go forward with this option. It reminds you it’s going to skip all of the cutscenes in the game, even if they’re related to the story, so you better make sure you’ve already gone through the story once and you know what’s going on in the game.

After you have confirmed your choice, you’re going to save your options and return to the main menu.
