Valve’s Dota 2 card game, Artifact, will be releasing on Nov. 28 on Steam for $20 and will be playable on PC, Mac, and Linux systems.

Valve’s Dota 2 card game, Artifact, will be releasing on Nov. 28 on Steam for $20 and will be playable on PC, Mac, and Linux systems.

Artifact has been designed to give Dota 2 and Trading Card enthusiasts the chance to collect over 280 different cards to take on other players from around the world. The title is being created by a former Magic the Gathering developer and was first revealed at last year’s Dota 2 world championship.

Since its reveal, the game has been in a closed beta state, only featuring 11 heroes at the time. 100 pieces of art assets for the game were also listed on a U.S. copyright database back in April, giving fans an idea of how the game was progressing.

The game will also be playable at this year’s PAX West in Seattle, WA, from Aug. 31 to Sept 3. The event will give fans a chance to tryout the mechanics and face each other in a continuous, single-elimination gauntlet for the right to face one of the game’s champions on the main stage sometime during the show.

By competing, players have a chance to earn Artifact themed merchandise including a signed piece of artwork and free copies of the game for when it releases later this year.
