New Earthbound plushies aren’t Mother 3, but they are adorable

PK cuties.

The Earthbound kids are already pretty adorable, but putting them in plushie form takes the cuteness factor to a whole new level. That’s exactly what toy maker Bandai Spirits is doing.

As detailed on Japanese site 1101, a Bandai Spirits figurine producer has been trying to get this Earthbound plushie line made for years, and it’s finally happening. The collection includes the game’s four party members: Ness, Jeff, Paula, and Poo. The details of each kid are spot-on, with little laces on Ness’ sneakers and Poo’s perfectly placed manchu cue.

The collection will go on sale on 1101’s online store at 11 AM JST on Wednesday, May 25 — that’s Tuesday, May 24 at 10 PM ET / 7 PM PT. The set of four costs Â¥11,000 (roughly $87 USD or £67), with taxes included. Just be prepared for additional international shipping costs, since 1101 is based in Japan.

Earthbound fans are still waiting hopefully for a proper Mother 3 port. Even one of the game’s producers wants to see a global English release, and fans continue to make amazing tributes to the Game Boy Advance RPG that only ever officially released in Japan. At least Earthbound and Earthbound Beginnings (the localized titles for Mother 2 and the original Mother, respectively) are part of Nintendo Switch Online now.
