Good news for ’90s and 2000s Nickelodeon fans craving those old SpongeBob SquarePants and Rugrats games of yesteryear. THQ Nordic and Nickelodeon are working on a “global revival” for several past games.

The announcement comes earlier today from THQ Nordic, who revealed the two companies are working together to “bring back selected game titles from the past.” That may end up being HD remasters, although it’s unclear for now. In the meantime, we do know which series are receiving a revival. Here’s the full list:

  • Avatar: The Last Airbender
  • Back At The Barnyard
  • Catscratch
  • Danny Phantom
  • El Tigre
  • Invader Zim
  • Jimmy Neutron
  • My Life As A Teenage Robot
  • Rocket Power
  • Rocko’s Modern Life
  • Rugrats
  • SpongeBob SquarePants
  • Tak And The Power Of JUJU
  • The Fairly OddParents (U.S. only)
  • The Ren & Stimpy Show
  • The Wild Thornberrys

Both Nickelodeon and THQ Nordic shared some kind words about the partnership, with THQ particularly happy to return to “former” THQ’s licensed games.

“This one hits close to home! We are very proud of signing this agreement, which was originally executed by the ‘former’ THQ Inc,” THQ Nordic’s VP Digital Sales & Business Development Americas Adrienne Lauer said in the press release. “We believe the combination of strong licenses and solid, crisp gameplay was one of THQ Inc’s trademark strategies, and we intend to continue this tradition.”

Nickelodeon, on the other hand, “can’t wait” for fans to rediscover the revival games.

“The appetite for Nickelodeon content old and new continues to grow and it’s exciting to bring our beloved content to new audiences through this partnership with THQ Nordic,” Nickelodeon’s Senior Vice President for Toys Jon Roman said. “These titles were popular when they were first released and we can’t wait for fans around the world to rediscover their favorites.”

The press release also noted that further announcements will be coming in the months ahead, so it’s likely we’ll see more info on these revivals before the holiday season hits at the end of the year.
