Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey – How to Heal Snake Bites

For the most part, you should be able to overcome snake bites and other venoms, but merely drinking water. Drinking takes some time, however, and there is a way to get over the effects of a bit quicker.

The first thing you need to do is find some coconuts. There should be plenty of them in the starting area, and you can find them by using your sense of smell. It can be a good idea to bring some tribe members with you to get as many as you can, so you keep a stock of them with you, just in case.

Once you have the coconuts, you need to crack them open. You can do this by using a rock, or just stripping the coconut of its tough outer layer. To do this, you need to be able to switch hands, so make sure you have the right option in the Neuronal Upgrade Tree.

Once the coconut is open, drink the sweet coconut milk inside, and curing you of venom. If you like, you can strip the coconut by holding it in your left hand and peeling it with the right. Then, carefully use a rock to take off the top. If you mess this up, it destroys the coconut, but if you succeed, you will be able to eat it and gain a lot of venom protection and also reduce your hunger.

This method becomes more natural to do as you advance along the Neuronal Upgrade tree. There is always a chance that you might destroy the coconut. As long as you have some extra coconuts, there is no reason not to try, and it is worth practicing in the starter area due to the plentiful supply of coconuts around you.
