In this guide we will show you how to take out the fearsome boss Enceladus in Astral Chain.
Enceladus is your first real combat challenge in Astral Chain. You have the face this giant beast after it drags you into another dimension. Because it happens early in the game, you might understand the combat system quite yet, meaning you might struggle with this battle.
Astral Chain – How To Beat Enceladus
Your best weapon against Enceladus is distance, and your Astral Chain itself. Enceladus dashes often, but before he does, a bright path shows the direction he is going to move. The trick is to have your player character on one side, and your Legion on the other. This trick causes Enceladus to get tangled on your chain, and you can then throw him backward.
Doing so sends him to the ground, stunned. You have time to do plenty of damage with your Legion and your weapon. Your gun doesn’t hit him for too much damage, so be sure to use your baton to give him a few whacks, and let your Legion work him over.
Now and then Enceladus casts a strange circle of energy around you. You can’t pass through it, but your Legion can. Look for the bright blue energy nodes around the outside of the circle, moving your Legion to them to break them, freeing you.
You want to be cautious and time your movement carefully. Enceladus does some dangerous area of effect attacks that do a lot of damage. However, they are easy to dodge and provide you openings to damage him. When you see him slow down and commit to one of these attacks, try to roll behind him, out of the way of the damage. After, hit him with your Legion and your weapon.
Enceladus is an excellent introduction to how it feels to take on a boss with your Legion. He can put you under pressure but is also easy to hurt if you sit at a range that allows your Legion to do damage. You can then back your Legion up with the sword. Your mains windows to do a lot of damage are after interrupting his dash.
Also, be careful Enceladus doesn’t damage your Legion too much. If he does your Legion will go back to the Legatus, and there is a delay before you can bring it out again. With your Legion gone, it severely reduces how much damage you can do, and extends the length of the boss fight. This delay increases the chances of you dying.
If you are feeling confident, you can get close to Enceladus, dodging his telegraphed attacks and hitting him right after a perfect dodge.
