In Control, during the Unknown Caller mission, you need to traverse the Oceanview Motel to get to the Hotline. The Hotline is an Object of Power that acts as a direct communication device with the Board. In this guide, we show you the simple trick to getting through the Oceanside Motel.

Control – How To Traverse The Oceanview Motel

The big clue to getting through the Oceanview Motel is on a sign beside the room where you first see the Hotline. You need to stand on a square and hit a light switch, which sends you into the Oceanview Motel. Right beside is a sign that says, “The rule of 3 applies”.

When you arrive at the motel, you are in a corridor filled with doors, and a reception desk. On the desk is a bell. You need to hit the bell three times, to open the third door at the far end of the hall, on the left.

Go into the room, and you will find a key with a black pyramid on it. Now, go back past the reception desk to the other doors with the symbols, and open the door with the black, filled in, pyramid on it. Inside that door is a picture of you standing on a gantry, outside the Hotline room.

Beside it, you will find another light switch. You need to pull the light switch three times for reality to change back and find yourself in the corridor to Hotline. This time with a stationary gantry under your feet. Make your way towards Hotline, and pick it up.

You will get teleported to another Astral Plane challenge, but all you need to do is make it to Hotline, and you will have succeeded.
