Destiny 2: New Light has been out for most of this week. There were some hiccups along the way, given Bungie released Shadowkeep on the same day and moved their product over to Steam. They had a handful of errors and several issues when it released, but it looks like things have calmed down. The servers are steadily up, and players have been zipping through the latest pieces of content. With players starting to get a stronger light level, they want to know when they can try their hand at the first raid.

When Does The New Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Raid Release?

While we don’t know too many details about the Shadowkeep’s raid, Garden of Salvation, we do know it’s going to release on Oct. 5. Players won’t have to wait too long to try their hand at taking down the several challenges awaiting them behind the tremendously terrifying gate. It’s going to release on Oct. 5 at 10 am PST. When it goes live, players from all over the world are going to be rushing towards it to see if they can succeed in any way and make a dent in it to be the first to make to complete.

Do you think you’re ready? Bungie believes players need to be at least light level 920 before they can enter it. Having played a handful of Bungie’s raids, this level is going to be a decent mark, but you’re going to want to aim higher. Realistically, you’re going to want to try for light level 930 or 935 to keep your head above water. However, if your teammates are willing to go into it with you at 920, there’s no stopping them.

What are the rewards for doing it? Well, Destiny 2 is all about loot. The latest raid is going to be another exclusive chance for players to get their hands on the new armor and weapons available in the game. Check out the respective armors for each class below.

At this time, beyond knowing the Vex are involved, and you can see the armor looks vaguely Vex-like, we don’t know too much. When the gates open on Oct. 5 at 10 am PST, you can expect plenty of players are going to jump in and trying their hand at it. The race is going to go live then, and we’ll find out who’s going to be the first to complete it sometime soon. It could take the whole weekend.

Check out the trailer for the raid below, and good luck in Destiny 2’s expansion, Shadowkeep, Guardians.
