You will be able to encounter all of these Pokémon, and other Psychic-types, more frequently in the wild during the event. Additionally, Field Research tasks obtain from PokéStops during the weekend will have more Psychic-type themes to them, increasing your chances of finishing them. However, recently Niantic announced they were removing select Field Research tasks from the game for the time being due to people around the world engage in quarantines to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We don’t have precise details about what tasks those were, but it likely affected any that were planned for this event.

The Psychic Spectacular Event starts on Friday, March 27, at 8:00am. For those practicing self-isolation over the weekend, try to avoid going outside as much as possible, using lures purchased from the Pokémon Go store to draw those Psychic-types closer. You can also reach out to your friends in the game to receive gifts from them to have a higher chance of adding more PokéBalls and 7-kilometer eggs to your inventory.
