Heart of the Forest: How to find A Secret Never Spoken in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

Wash your hands when you're done with this quest

Finding A Secret Never Spoken, the book covered in slime from the Heart of the Forest quest in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, can be difficult if you don’t know exactly where to enter the cave. We’ll point you in the right direction and make sure you don’t get lost.

The tiny purple dot indicates the coordinates for the entrance of the cave.

After speaking to Watcher Vesperbloom, you will be sent to the northeast to find her book of secrets. Although the quest indicator on your map shows you your destination, you’ll need to go slightly southwest of the number.

The cave entrance you’re searching for is located at 55.2, 48.3. As you make your way through the dead growth in the area, you’ll find a den full of Duskwarren Gormlings right at your feet when you arrive at your destination. Head deeper into the cave, and at the back, you’ll find the source of the infestation: a Darkwarren Matriarch. You shouldn’t have too much trouble bringing her down, but watch out for the underlings she can spawn when her health drops below 50%.

Loot her body for the Book of Secrets, now known as “A slime-covered book of secrets.” Wipe your hands off and make your way back to Watcher Vespoerbloom, who will accept her book in return for the scroll you need. You are now free to continue with the Night Fae storyline.
