Medical science isn’t exactly advanced in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord. During battles, you will take plenty of damage from enemies, and there are no health packs that you can use to get it back. It is important to remember that this damage does not heal instantly after a battle, and getting in a new fight straight away is a good way to get yourself killed, or taken prisoner.
To heal in Bannerlord, you need to invest one of the game’s most precious commodities, time. You will passively heal as you move around the map, but this is a slow process, and you run the risk of getting in a fight that you can’t survive.
The safer and quicker option is to get off the map by heading to a town or village. Here, you can safely use the “pass the time” option to heal up, and you will also heal at a faster rate than you would if you were on the campaign map.
If you want to increase your rate of healing further, you will need to invest some skill points in Intelligence, which will allow you to upgrade your Medicine rate. This improves your ability to stop bleeding, clean wounds, and remove pieces of weapons that shouldn’t be left in the human body.
It is important to note, the game is currently in early access, so it impossible to know how concrete the healing system is. If any updates expand or change how healings works in Bannerlord, we will update this guide accordingly.
