The Xbox Series X comes with a ton of ways to get the best audio experience you could want out of your games. From headsets to headphones, you can connect a lot of different devices to play as you want.

These devices include Airpods, the popular Bluetooth headphones from Apple. These buds provide great audio quality without having to worry about a cumbersome headset to wear.

And while it may not seem possible, at first, it is actually quite easy to use Airpods with the Xbox Series X if you have the right equipment.

This equipment, along with the Airpods, is a Bluetooth adapter that works with a 3.5mm audio port. Luckily, you can find these easily online for decent prices.

  1. Once you have found the adapter you want, plug it into the audio jack on the bottom of your Xbox controller. Once it has been plugged in and connected, turn it on and make sure that it is searching for a new device.
  2. Take your Airpods and open the case. Then press and hold the button on the back of the case until the light on the front begins to blink.
  3. This should cause the Airpods to pair with the adapter which means you can take the actual Airpods out of the case and start testing out your new audio set-up.

Just be aware that there could be a slight lag due to the audio having to go through the adapter/transmitter first.

Alternate Method

This is only for those of you with higher-end TV’s, but some televisions allow you to pair a Bluetooth headset for audio. Check and see if your TV allows for Bluetooth pairing.
