This mission isn’t a one way trip.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is finally giving players a chance to cut their losses and get out of the wasteland in the game’s zombie mode. In the new Zombies mode, it will be possible for players to exfiltrate, or exfil, the zone and escape with their lives, along with some additional loot. According to developer Treyarch’s latest gameplay blog, players will have the option to radio in a helicopter to take them to safety and end the game.

While escaping on the helicopter seems like the easy way out, it is anything but. The option to radio in an evacuation chopper is available to players after round 10. To initiate the exfil, the majority of your team must vote to initiate it. If you don’t opt to take the exfil, you will be given the choice every five rounds after round 10.

Once the helicopter is radioed in, players will have to rush to a specific landing site, battling a newly formed horde that is trying to stop you. If fighting the horde wasn’t enough, you will have to make it to the landing zone within a time limit. Once you get there, you must clear the landing zone to board the helicopter. If you somehow do all of that before dying, you will come out with extra XP and the potential to get Raw Aetherium Crystals. So now you have two options when it comes to leaving the game: die while trying to escape, or die while not trying to escape.
