How to find Communicator Parts in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Dig 'em up!
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Sometimes you might happen to come across a washed-up sailor by the name of Gulliver on your Island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons who, after prodding him many times over, will ask you to go about doing a small quest to help him call his shipmates.

He will pull out his phone, and to his horror (and our amusement), it is completely broken and in need of dire repairs.

Have no fear though as Gulliver knows what to do and will send you to search for some items known as Communicator Parts to fix his phone and call his crew to come to pick him up again (before he arrives on your island yet again to ask you to do this all over once more) But how exactly do you find these parts that he wants?

Communicator Parts aren’t that hard to find, but unfortunately, the game doesn’t tell you how or where to find them. So let us break it down for you.

When going across the beach or areas with sand on your island, you might notice small animations on the ground of holes splurging out water before closing up again. These are the places you need to look for when trying to get Communicator Parts.

Dig a hole on top of these small animations Tibbits, and hopefully, a Communicator Part should be dug up. Find five to complete the mission and return to Gulliver, where you found him and a cutscene will play. You will then receive a gift in the mail the next day that you play, which could be any random item.

Just remember, you can only dig up five every time he is on the island, so if you are hoping to hoard a few of them for later trips, you’ll be unable to do so.
