Where To Find Fossils In Pokemon Sword and Shield

How To Get the Fossils

The first thing you need to do to get Dragozolt, Arctozolt, Dracovish, and Arctovish is to find the Fossils. You can find the first set of fossils on Route 6, as you head for Stow-on-Side. You will pass some Diglett Sculptures, and that will let you know that you are getting close. You will have to climb up some ladders, and you will come to a campsite. Next to the campsite will be a woman named Cara Liss with a strange machine. You will see a rock with something shining on it, and this is where you get your first fossil.

When you have that, you can make your way to Stow-on-Side and talk to an NPC in the Pokémon Center. He will give you another fossil. Where it gets interesting is that Sword and Shield only have two fossils each. If you want to get all four, you will need to give the fossils to a Pokemon and then trade them to a player who is willing to trade you the other fossils.

The Drake and Fish fossils are exclusive to Shield, while the Bird and Dino fossils are exclusive to Sword.

How To Get Dragozolt, Arctozolt, Dracovish, and Arctovish

To combine the fossils, and make your odd new Pokémon, you will need to return to the woman with the strange machine at the campsite. Her name is Cara Liss, and she will combine them for you to make your Pokémon.

  • Fossilized Drake and Fossilized Dino = Dracozolt
  • Fossilized Bird and Fossilized Dino = Arctozolt
  • Fossilized Drake and Fossilized Fish = Dracovish
  • Fossilized Bird and Fossilized Fish = Arctovish

Remember, you can only get two of the Fossils in your game, you will need to trade with other Trainers to get the other Fossils.
