Pokemon Go Update 169

How to get stickers in Pokémon Go

More stickers for your friends.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Stickers are a new flavor item you can add to your gifts in Pokémon Go. These items won’t do anything for your account, and they don’t have any in-game influence other than personalizing the gifts you send to your friends in the game. Everyone will receive a small round of stickers when the service launches, but you only receive five. How do you gain more stickers?

There are two methods developer Niantic has detailed where players can expect to receive additional stickers. Everyone will receive the first few designs for free, but after that, players will have to earn more from the gifts friends send out. You will receive them alongside the other items. Hopefully, because these items are cosmetic, they do not take away from the total items you receive from a gift, but they should not do so.

There are only five designs at the launch of the feature. Once more designs come out, you can expect to purchase them from the Pokémon Go in-game store. They will be on sale for you to purchase. We don’t know if these products will be worth real-world money exclusively, or if they’re an option for you to buy with PokéCoins. If they’re only offered for PokéCoins, we don’t have an idea how much they will cost. It could range from a small handful to 50.

New designs could become a regular for Pokémon Go fans to regularly collect and accumulate to send out to their favorite trainer friends. These stickers do not provide much in-game value, other than a fun cosmetic feature to send to your friends who open up your gifts once a day. There will be a maximum number of sticks trainers can hold.
