How to get wildest dreams DIY recipe in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

What do you need to do to find it?

Recipes are the best way to continue to customize your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, where you can add new pieces of furniture to your room or share them around your island. These recipes are sometimes challenging to come by. Several of them are hidden behind island progression, and others are only given to you by opening message bottles found on your island every day. The wildest dreams DIY recipe is a bit easier to find.

You can locate the wildest dreams DIY recipe by opening up the Nook’s Cranny building on your island. You can do this after you have cleared your first debt to Tom Nook. Tommy will ask you about expanding the island, wanting the shop in place to better suit the needs of the residents. To build it, you need to gather up 30 hardwood, 30 softwood, 30 wood, and 30 pieces of iron nuggets. Among those items, the iron nuggets are the toughest to locate. You can likely gather them up the fastest by going on Mysterious Tours by purchasing a Nook Miles Ticket through the Resident Services terminal. When you have all of them, give them to Tommy, and wait a day before it’s finished being built.

When the shop finishes, go inside and check out the cabinet in the upper left corner of the store’s area. Check inside of it and the wildest dreams DIY recipe should be available for you to purchase. If you can’t find it, you may need to wait another day, or several, for it to appear. The recipe should show up eventually, and when it does, it’s going to cost you 6,980 Bells to obtain it. You receive these items for reading it:

  • Brick Oven
  • Hearth
  • Iron Wall Lamp
  • Ironwood Kitchenette
  • Plain Sink
  • Wooden Fish

These are great additions to have around your island in New Horizons. There are several other items you can add to your collection by progressing through the game, and continually picking them up on the beach in message bottles. Make sure to remain vigilant for them, and to check out Nook’s Cranny to see if Timmy or Tommy have anything new for sale.
