Hero and Joker, from Dragon Quest XI: Echos of an Elusive Age and Persona 5, are receiving Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Amiibo figures, set to release fall 2020. We had a brief chance to view them during a live stream where Mr. Sakurai revealed Min Min from ARMS was the first new fighter from the second Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC pack.
At the time of this writing, both of these Amiibos are not available for pre-order. We don’t have an exact timeframe or expectation for when they will become available. Because we know they will become available sometime in fall 2020, we can likely expect pre-orders to become available towards the end of summer closer to July or August.
When orders for the Amiibo become available, you will want to visit the Amiibo page on Nintendo’s website to choose a retailer to buy them from. Your options include Amazon, GameStop, BestBuy, Target, Walmart, or from Nintendo’s website. When they become available, you should prepare to spend around $15 to $20 for them.
However, these expectations revolve around no delays happening for the Amiibo products. If delays do happen due to COVID-19 issues, or production runs into problems with the models, the Hero and Joker Amiibos could be pushed back to an early 2021 slot, likely in January or February. We’ll be updating this guide with more exact details and information about purchasing these Amiibos when we learn more details about how to do so.
