June was a pretty good month to own a PlayStation 4 with the release of The Crew 2, as well as many more third-party games—and July doesn’t seem to be any different.
The release of big first-party titles is still a while off, with Spider-Man not expected to launch until September, leaving Sony to fill the time with titles from third-party and indie studios. That’s not to say that the games coming out this month are bad, but they leave a lot to be desired going into the summer.
The Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 and Sonic Mania Plus DLC are some of the biggest highlights for this month’s lackluster game selection, while remasters such as Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered and indie hits like Hello Neighbor give players some time to kill for the next few weeks.
Here are some of our top picks to tide you over in July.
