The Division 2 is off to a great start, it has received favorable reviews from critics and the gaming community, with most stating that the development team took note of the community feedback on the first installment (new features) and implemented them in the sequel. The Division 2 was named as the best selling game (United Kingdom) the week it was released, but the launch-week sales figure was just 20 percent of the first installment.

The development team at Massive Entertainment made sure that the game is optimized for all three platforms and they managed to pull this off at least on PS4 and Xbox One. In this The Division 2 PC Error and Fixes, we have listed solutions to some of these performance issues. So let’s get started.

3: The Division 2: How To Fix Constant Crash And Remove Stutter

Reddit user K0ngzor has shared the following fix for those who are encountering constant crash (crash after 5 to 10 minutes) and stuttering issue in The Division 2.

  • Step 1: Go to the Event Logger in Windows and find out what event was logged at the time the crash happened.
  • Step 2: If the source of the event is called “Resource-Exhaustion-Detector,” go for STEP 3. If not then the event should make it clear what the cause of the crash issue is. Get the details and take the necessary steps.
  • Step 3: Change your page file to automatic, do not disable it. Do not turn it to 0MB or a static value. Even if your PC has enough RAM, disabling page file can cause crashes like these.
  • Step 4: Go to the in-game Video Settings and set DX12 and Reduced Latency value to YES. This will give you a significant boost to the FPS performance and remove stutter. NOTE: Make this change only if you have the latest version of the Windows 10 installed.
