Microsoft is certainly planning on doing a lot of things right for the next generation of their console hardware. Backward compatibility is an important issue for many players, but Microsoft even has a way to make that unnecessary for many of their upcoming games.
Smart Delivery is a new feature that will be coming with certain games the company plans to release going forward. In its simplest sense, Smart Delivery means if you buy a game for the Xbox One, you will not need to buy that game again to enjoy it on the Xbox Series X. This is wonderful news for gamers everywhere, as the last few months of a console generation can feel like you are buying games with a very short shelf life.
Microsoft wants to alleviate that worry by clearly showing what games will be worth buying because you will be able to instantly download a version of the game for the Xbox Series X when you purchase your new console.
Each and every first-party game that Microsoft releases will come with this feature, covering a massive host of games from all the studios that Microsoft has recently purchased. And it looks like plenty of third-party developers want to jump on the value for money bandwagon as well.
Below, you will find a list of all the games currently confirmed to have Smart Delivery, and we will be updating the list as more are announced.
