T'is the season.

It has been a fun season of Fortnite, with new places to explore, Shadow and Ghost agents engaging in all kinds of shenanigans, and the addition of a Deadpool skin, but all good things must come to an end. You might be wondering when Chapter 2 Season 3 is due to start, and you don’t have long to wait.

The next season is due to begin on June 17. The original plan was to have the new season begin on April 30, but it has been extended multiple times, most recently due to the events currently unfolding in America.

Epic also announced that a one-time-only live event called The Device is now scheduled for Saturday, June 15 at 2 PM ET, and that you should show up about 30 minutes beforehand to make sure you get to witness it.

What to expect from Season 3?

There is the guarantee of a Battle Pass, more than likely once again costing 950 V-Bucks. After that, there will be new skins, places to visit, weapons to shoot, and all the usual things you expect from a new season.

What is harder to predict is the potential theme. It seems unlikely that the story of Ghost and Shadow will be complete this season, and we even saw some characters in this season’s trailer that have yet to feature, like the Bushranger. As such, it seems likely that Season 3 will continue the story of Ghost and Shadow.

So, for the moment, we expect to see plenty of map changes as both groups attempt to exert even more control over the island, so there should be lots of new areas for us to get to grips with next season.
