Events in Pokémon Go happen pretty frequently, and new things are always spawning into the game. The latest event focuses on Armored Mewtwo and his clone Pokémon, which you can capture in the game right now and goes from Feb. 25 to March 2. While they are in the game, Armored Mewtwo is a special event happening later on, and you can attempt to capture it if you successfully defeat it in an exclusive five-star raid.

When is the five-star raid?

The Armored Mewtwo five-star raid will happen on March 1 from 2pm to 5pm in your local time. You have a limited window to locate a five-star raid with other trainers and attempt to capture this Pokémon. You do need a raid pass to attempt to capture Armored Mewtwo. You should receive one for free by spinning a PokéStop. If you fail with your team to capture it, you can still attempt to try it again if the raid you used your pass on is still happening. When you capture Armored Mewtwo, it should know the special charged move Psystrike.

During raid day, March 1, all trainers should receive five free raid passes, giving you multiple chances to go after Armored Mewtwo. You can also go after party hat Nidorino and party hat Gengar featured in two-star raids during this time. Gengar will have the moveset lick and psychic.

How to fight Armored Mewtwo

Armored Mewtwo is purely a Psychic-type Pokémon, making them weak to Bug, Dark, and Ghost-type moves and attacks. You don’t want to use Fighting or other Psychic-types against it. It has a max CP of 3,187, an attack of 182, a defense of 278, and a stamina of 214. Because it has such a high defense, you want to bring some durable Pokémon with you that can dish out some decent damage against it.

Some great choices you can use in your party include Gengar, Tyranitar, Hydreigon, Chandelure, Scizor, Escavalier, Pinsir, Shiftry, and Absol. There are several other choices you can bring with you to fight Armored Mewtwo, but these are some of the notable choices.

You will have a limited time to capture Armored Mewtwo on March 1, so make sure you have the time set to go after it.
