Here’s where you can acquire Pumpkaboo to add it to your PokéDex in Pokémon Sword and Shield

Pumpkaboo is a unique Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield. There are four different versions of the creature found throughout the game. You have the chance to encounter it throughout the Wild Area, and each different form has a percentage chance.

It’s an interesting Pokémon, being a Grass and Ghost-type. You can evolve it into Gourgeist, but you need to trade it to someone else. It remains a Grass and Ghost-type throughout its evolutions.

Here’s the break down for each form of Pumkaboo:

  • Giant’s Mirror: You have a 25 percent chance for all forms during normal weather
  • Route 4: You have a 10 percent chance for all forms for all kinds of weather
  • Hammerlocke Hills: You have a five percent chance for all forms for all weather types.

Your best chance is to locate it in Giant’s Mirror during a normal day. You can find it to the southeast of Hammerlocke. If you have trouble attempting to get a normal day to occur, you can go into your Switch’s settings and turn it to 05/01/2020. If you do this, a good majority of your weather locations switch to Clear day, increasing the chances of you running into one.

However, it’s still a 25 percent chance of finding it so that you may wander around for a bit of time. You also have a chance of running into a Pumpkaboo for a Max Raid, but those have slim chances, too.
