World of Warcraft: Shadowlands – Class tier list

Which class you should choose for your next quest?
This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information

Putting a good team together for a World of Warcraft raid can be a royal pain, especially when it comes to choosing the right class. Having a balance between Tanks, DPS characters, and Healers is pretty straightforward, but there are many classes to choose from in these categories. This guide provides our tier list of the best classes for each role in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.

Recommended Videos

This list was created based on the success and utility of each class, both on paper and in-game. The rankings are dependent upon the base stats, abilities, and ease of use. Each class was also tested in the Castle Nathria raid for effectiveness. We mainly focused on how the classes fared during boss fights, which tend to be a bit easier for ranged classes on the whole.

DPS

DPS is the most flexible type of class in the game and will make up the bulk of any good team. There are a large number of DPS classes to choose from, which makes picking the right one a bit difficult. Our rankings of the different DPS classes can be a useful place to start, but you will ultimately need to play around with them to see which best fits your style.
