In a recent interview with Metro, Bethesda marketing boss Pete Hines has discussed the plans of the company to support the upcoming Fallout 76.

Considering it is set to be the first BGS online game ever, and also looking at the competition in the multiplayer survival genre, it’s a given people is so curious to learn more about this aspect of the project.

Fallout 76 To Be Supported Forever

According to Hines, anyway, this support is going to last “forever,” not only in terms of how many things Bethesda Game Studios will be providing to gamers but of how many hours people usually spend in their titles.

“I’m not being ironic. Like, forever. Because other people have said, ‘Is your timeline two years or five years?’ And I said, ‘Well, they’re still playing Morrowind and you go online and look at how many people are playing Fallout 4 and Skyrim’.

Those games have been out for four and seven years, and there are literally hundreds of thousands of people playing those games every single day, every single month.”

While it’s easy to say that the game won’t be supported at least officially for so many years to cover the term “forever” Hines used in this interview, it’s sure that Fallout 76 – releasing on November 14 – will have a very long life span.

A beta is releasing tomorrow on Xbox One and will be coming next week on PlayStation 4 and PC, so we’ll have a clearer idea about how the game actually works very soon.
