There's a lot to discover in the beta, such as the new level cap of 120, as well as several new playable races like the Horde's Nightborne and Highmountain Tauren and the Void Elves and Lightforged Draenei for the Alliance. If you do get in and play through a good portion of the beta, you won't have to worry about your characters being wiped at present, either.
