A new batch of NBA 2K21 MyTeam cards dropped on October 2, and these items are a part of the IDOLS: Season 1 promotion. The new promo comes with a slew of cards, as well as new packs and bundles. Here are all the details that you need to know about the IDOLS promo, plus which cards we recommend.
IDOLS Promo
The new promo features the addition of a new pack, the IDOLS SERIES 1: Dominque Wilkins Pack. The pack includes one guaranteed player, four random items, and a chance of pulling a Dominque Wilkins IDOLS card. The pack costs 7,500 VC/10,500 MT, and players also have the option to buy a 10 pack bundle for 67,500 VC, or a 20 pack bundle for 135,000 VC. These packs will be available in the MyTeam store until October 9.
The promotion features the return of several former NBA players into 2K21, including former Jazz point guard Deron Williams. Here are the new IDOLS card, plus a look at each one’s overall:

Which cards should you target?
If you have the VC or MT to get Dominique Wilkins, do it. Wilkins’ 95 OVR IDOLS card has fantastic Inside Scoring (A+) and Mid-Range Scoring (A+), as well as solid shooting from behind the arc. The NBA legend’s defensive attributes aren’t too bad, either, making him a great two-way player in MyTeam. In addition, Deron Williams and Giannis Antetokounmpo are both solid grabs, as the two of them have great shooting ratings and should also have no problem getting buckets.
As far as the other cards go, Gordon, Cooper, and Reed are not bad pickups, but be wary of the three of them. This especially rings true with Cooper and Reed, as their athleticism attributes are not the best.
