Exploring different options is part of the journey in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. There are four different covenants you can potentially join once you hit level 60, and although you can change your mind after making a commitment, it doesn’t come without a price. As you discover which house is the best, you might find yourself falling behind when looking at the XP levels for your Covenant Adventures board. Fortunately, there’s an item you can earn through a mission which should give you the boost you need to catch up.
While there is no specific formula to determine when it becomes available, keep your eyes out for a mission that rewards an item called the Grimoire of Knowledge. It will most likely appear if you have changed your home covenant and your followers are lagging behind in XP. The Grimoire of Knowledge is designed to bring your Champions back up to speed. Four different versions of the Grimoire of Knowledge are available; they can add 2400, 3600, 5000, or 6000 XP to your chosen Champion.
If you don’t want to fall behind in your Covenant Adventures, take some time to consider where you want to call home. You can also explore each of the four covenants without any penalty be leveling alt characters through the Threads of Fate mode, which skips the main storyline quests and grants your character levels through world quests, dungeons, and raids.
