How to renew MyTeam contracts in NBA 2K21

Don't forget about those expiring contracts.

In NBA 2K21’s MyTeam, cards can only be used for a specific period of time. The reason for this is that each card has a contract length. After a player’s contract expires, the only way that card can be used again is if the contract is renewed. So how do you renew a player’s contract in MyTeam? Let’s go over what you have to do.

First off, head over to the MyTeam home screen and go to your active lineup. After doing this, select a card by pressing A (Xbox) or X (PlayStation). Here, you will see a list of options to choose from. Select Apply Contract, and you will be able to add on any available contracts that are sitting in your MyTeam collection.

Make sure to select the Apply Contract tab to add new contract cards.

If you don’t have any contracts in your collection, you can purchase new ones by selecting the Apply Contract tab upon selecting a player at the MyTeam lineup screen. Or, you could receive contract cards in MyTeam packs. Contract cards can either be bronze (three games), silver (four games), or gold (five games).
