Screenshots. We love them. Now that Warframe developer Digital Extremes have revealed the new open-world that is coming to the game, Heart of Deimos, we can show you all the screenshots that we have been sent.

The Heart of Deimos looks amazing and is a dramatic departure from the look and tone of the open-world portions of the game that was established with the Plains of Eidolon and Orb Vallis. This is an Infested world, blighted and alien, and highly dangerous.

One of my favorite parts of Deimos are the massive worms that live on the surface. One represents the moon, and the other represents the sun. When the day/night cycle changes, the upcoming worm will destroy the other, taking control of the surface until their vanquished foe returns to reclaim it.

Beneath the surface of Deimos, you will find a warren of procedurally generated tunnels hiding secrets within the dark heart of the Infested moon. Down here, you can further explore the secret origins of the Infested and the twisted Entrati experiments.

Below we have screenshots of the new enemies you will be fighting on Deimos. The Ashen, Boneblades, and Femurs patrol the surface, and crawl around underneath it, and will attempt to swarm you to death.

Below, you can see Deimos’ answer to K-Drives. These giants bugs fly around the surface, and you can either conserve them or use them to fly around. Best of all, these have guns. Sorry K-Drives, the Velocipods are taking over.

Below, you can see the new Necramechs. These can be piloted by your Operator, bringing intense firepower to the battlefield. As creations of the Entrati, you will also need to fight against them.

Finally, the Broken Frame, known in the game as Xaku. Xaku is made from the pieces of several destroyed Warframe and is the second Warframe in the game, after Nova, to be designed by the community.
