Red Dead Redemption 2 Unlimited Fast Travel Guide | Best Fast Travel Method
Red Dead Redemption 2 has a quite huge world for you to play in, and that means you'll be required a lot of patience in case you'll be willing to wonder together with your horse around the entire map.
Best Ways To Fast Travel In Red Dead Redemption 2
Luckily enough, Rockstar Games has introduced three different fast travel types, which you can use to spare some minutes and even hours on dead times and completely focus on what the game is really good at.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Fast Travel Method 1
There are a few things the game never tells you about, and among these, you can find the ability to put a waypoint marker on the map, then start riding and hold down the Touchpad on PS4 or the View button on Xbox One.
This will make your horse run to the marked location automatically so that you can enjoy the view or take a minute to rest. Anyway, keep your eyes open as outlaws and predators of sorts will still be able to attack you in the meantime.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Fast Travel Method 2
You can use fast travel from train stations and stagecoaches, too. In order to do so, you'll be required to pay a small fee from 5 to 15 dollars, but there's a catch: you'll be allowed to travel only between towns and not directly to your camp.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Fast Travel Method 3 (Permanent Fast Travel)
There's a free fast travel functionality, too. When you complete Chapter 2 main mission "Money Lending and other Sins," the one by Strauss, you'll unlock the ledger and by then you'll be able to put money in the tithing box. That's how you upgrade your camp.
If fast travel is very important to you, then go for two camp upgrades: "First Things First" and "Next in Line". They'll cost $220 and $325 respectively (total $545). These upgrades will be available to you in the loading category. Next In Line upgrade will unlock a fast travel map and you can get it behind Arthur Morgan's tent.
Beware, anyway, that this is only a one-way fast travel, making you go from the camp to towns you've already discovered; it won't work in case you'll want to go from those towns back to the camp.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now on PS4 and Xbox One.
