How to Collect Candy in the Haunted Forest in Festival of the Lost 2020 – Destiny 2

Trick or treat.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Candy is one of the limited currencies you will be collecting during the Festival of the Lost 2020 event in Destiny 2. They appear on the ground as small blue motes after you’ve killed an enemy. They can appear all over the game, but you need to make sure you’re wearing your Festival of the Lost mask to collect them.

Without the Festival of the Mask item as your helmet, none of the candy will appear during the event. You can receive your first mask by speaking to Eva at the tower’s front, in her usual location at the center. Talking to her also starts the quest to unlock the forest and upgrade your mask to become as powerful as your standard helmet. The Festival of the Lost mask requires plenty of candy for you to convert a powerful helmet and give it a new light level.

Collecting candy is one of the main attractions this year, much like collecting the Chocolate Strange Coins. Both of them are obtainable for a limited time, and of the two, candy is far easier to acquire. You’ll be using it more often to access new sparrows, ghosts, and smaller items, such as the mystery grab bag. Unlike Chocolate Strang Candy, you can only earn candy by killing enemies while wearing a Festival of the Lost helmet, or by completing the Haunted Forest.

Make sure to complete the Haunted Forest quest to gain access to it and earn piles of candy by progressing through it with your friends.
