Destiny 2 – How to Collect Candy in the Haunted Forest

Destiny 2’s seasonal event for Halloween has arrived in the form of the Festival of the Lost. It’s a time for Guardians to remember those they have lost along the way, and to do a little trick-o’-treating of their own accord during this time the year. A task Guardians are going to need to complete collecting candy for the event. Here’s how you go about doing it and taking part in the event.

Destiny 2 – How to Collect Candy in the Haunted Forest

The first thing you’re going to need to do is to load into the Tower and speak to Eva. You should find it immediately when you jump into the game, and you’re going to notice the entire Tower has undergone a brand new look. It’s perfect for the time of year. Approach Eva and speak to her about the event. She’s going to talk to you about it and discuss the festival’s significance. When you finish listening to her, make sure to grab a mask from her in her inventory. You can choose to purchase one of three options, and they’re all worth 100 glimmers.

Getting the Mask from Eva

After you purchase your mask, make sure to equip it. Doing so is going to give you access to the Haunted Forest. To jump into it, pop open your director and check it out on the map. It should be immediately above Eva’s location with a large, blue crown. Click on it, and you should start loading into a match. You can do so with your fireteam of three people, or matchmake with two others. You have the option of the “Fire Walled” version, which gives players the option to do it by themselves.

For those who do not wish to open their director, you can choose to go to the small holographic terminal to the right of Eva and click on it. It’s going to pull the same menu as the blue crown event icon on the map, so there’s no difference.

All you have to do now is follow the steps of the Haunted Forest. It’s going to resemble a dark Vex forest, forcing Guardians to rely on their headlamps to light their way. To collect candy, all players have to do is kill enemies and collect the small, blue shards that pop off them when they die. Shards are not always going to drop, but when they do, you’re going to see the small “Candy” symbol to the middle-right of your screen pop up when you do.
