How to find the Pack-a-Punch machine in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Outbreak Zombie mode

An old friend decided to take a trip to the ski resort.

The Pack-a-Punch machine is easily one of the most iconic and recognizable pieces to come from Call of Duty Zombies. It has long been the main mechanic used for upgrading your firepower in both damage and ammo capacity. Of course, with such a critical piece of Zombie history, Treyarch would be foolish to leave it behind while trying to push its new open-world game mode called Outbreak. Here is where you can find the Pack-a-Punch machine in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Outbreak.

With typical Zombie maps made by Treyarch, the Pack-a-Punch can be hidden away and usually takes a few hoops to jump through to access it. With Outbreak being a little more of a battle royale meets Zombies experience, that really is not the case this time.

When you begin a match of Outbreak, your team is immediately given an objective they need to do to progress the game’s difficulty and earn better rewards. This objective can be Defend, Eliminate, Escort, Holdout, or Retrieve. Complete whatever the requirements are, and you will be directed to an anomaly somewhere on the map. Whenever someone in your squad interacts with the anomaly, four stations will appear, the crafting bench, armory, Wunderfizz machine, and the Pack-a-Punch machine.

If you are looking to gear yourself up for the next round, this is your chance to do so. All of the stations cost the same amount of essence that they would in a normal Zombies map, so if you have the points, you can upgrade your weapon and attach an ammo mod.

There is an additional way to find the Pack-a-Punch machine, although it is not guaranteed after completing each primary objective. Like a battle royale mode, you can actually find the Pack-a-Punch spawned somewhere randomly in the world.

We are not sure if the Pack-a-Punch is guaranteed to appear in each section you are in, as we only saw it randomly like this once in our first three matches of Outbreak. Regardless, keep your eyes peeled for the symbol on your mini-map. It is a small white icon that looks just like the machine.
