Intertwined Fate and Acquaint Fate are two of the most important resources in Genshin Impact. Both of them will allow you to make different types of Wishes, powering gacha pulls that will result in new weapons, characters, and valuable resources. This is how you will be able to get 4 Star and 5 Star characters and weapons, building the strongest possible party for late-game activities.
Both Fates will perform slightly different functions. Intertwined Fate will let you make wishing from limited-time events, while Acquaint Fate will be used to make the regular wishes. It is possible to get Acquaint Fate by ranking up your Adventurer Rank, but it’s a pretty rare reward.
You can purchase both Acquaint Fate and Intertwined Fate using Primogems. You will earn a pretty steady stream of Primogems by completing missions and challenges in the game, but it can be a grindy process. It is also possible to purchase Genesis Crystals, the game’s true premium currency. These come in bundles of different values for different prices and can be purchased through the Shop in the main menu. To add further complication, you can also use Starglitter and Stardust to buy Intertwined Fate and Acquaint Fate. Both of those are earned from Wishes.

To buy Fates using any of the above currencies, open the main menu, then select the Shop. Go to the Paimon’s Bargains tab and you will have options to spend each of the three currencies on the Fate that you want to buy.
