How to get the Sandhawk legendary sniper rifle in Borderlands 3

Melt your foes down with the Sandhawk.

There are so many legendary guns in Borderlands 3, it’s difficult to keep track of them. Some of them are notably more useful than others, especially for players who want to do something specific with their build. A new rifle introduced during the Revenge of the Cartels event is the Sandhawk, a legendary sniper rifle you can obtain during the Mayhem 2.0 revamp with the Loot the Universe event.

During the Loot the Universe event players have the chance to encounter a variety of different legendary weapons based on the planet they visit. Right now, for the first week of the event, everything is happening on Pandora. If you want to obtain one a legendary weapon you need to visit one of the regions of the game and start taking out enemies you can find there. However, some of the new legendary weapons will drop elsewhere, and to increase your chances of looting the new legendary gear, you need to increase the Mayhem level of your Borderlands game.

For those searching for the Sandhawk legendary sniper rifle, you need to make your way to Promethea, and you’re on the hunt for Katagawa Jr. You can find them at Atlas HQ. Before venturing onto the planet, make sure you have your Mayhem level set to anything above to six or above. The most precise version of the weapon is a semi-automatic. You can use it as an excellent crowd control weapon and decimate foes attempting to rush you.

When you arrive at Atlas HQ, you need to make your way to the far right side of the map. You can find Katagawa Jr. in the back area, and falling down his office. After taking him down, you have a chance for the Sandhawk to spawn. To obtain the strongest version of the weapon, you need to complete it at Mayhem level 10.

You can do this over and over again, altering the effects of the weapon, and having it drop in different elements.
