How to start the Prophecy Dungeon in Destiny 2

A new dungeon in Destiny 2, available for all players.

A new dungeon releasing alongside the Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals is called the Prophecy Dungeon. It was a surprise adventure coming for all players in the game but was not available immediately after a live-stream hosted by Bungie on June 9. The dungeon became available that day at 5:00 pm PDT.

For those eager to check out the dungeon and try it out for yourself, you will need to bring two additional players. You may not want to spend the first few hours of Season of Arrivals attempting to jump into it. Instead, try to go through fundamental parts of the new season with Eris and Drifter to receive more light levels. It’s a pinnacle-level activity, so you can expect to receive some of the best gear in the game, and it requires high-level equipment to take part in it.

To start the dungeon, travel to the Tower and click on the dungeon icon where the Drifter is on the left-hand side of the map. You don’t have to speak to the Drifter about it, but you can do a brief dialogue with him, which doesn’t do much besides informing you about a disturbance. By completing the dungeon, you will gain access to Pinnacle Gear, increasing your overall Destiny 2 level. The recommended light level for the dungeon is level 1040.

We have a brief glimpse of the dungeon in a trailer posted by Bungie. Completing the dungeon rewards players with a variety of new gear and some returning new ones you can earn by regularly repeating the event. For those who want to succeed often, make sure to bring folks who know how to bring their A-game. The dungeon’s appearance is relatively trippy as Guardians enter a unique dimension to face a new threat. It will be a massive dungeon because we see Guardians traversing the area using sparrows, so expect an enormous event.
